FCWC WEEKEND EDITION LEADERSHIP TEAM

FCWC Weekend Edition is led by a committee of volunteer leaders who provide the planning, organizational and logistical support to make this ministry successful.  As a ministry of Flower City Outreach (FCO), FCWC Weekend Edition is governed by the FCO Board of Directors who provides oversight, governance, and administrative leadership for each of its ministries.

Gary Passero – Ministry Director

Gary Passero is the founding partner of Passero Associates, a premiere architectural engineering firm in Rochester, NY with over 50 years of experience. He has volunteered his time, talent and treasure to many Christian non-profits throughout his career before volunteering to lead the FCWC Weekend Edition program through Flower City Outreach.  Gary, and his wife Fran who passed in 2022, worship at Browncroft Community Church.

Lou Ansuini – Volunteer

Lou Ansuini has worked as a manufacturing mechanic at American Packaging Corporation for past 34 years.  He is a new Christ follower who desires to contribute his gifts for others.  Lou resides in Charlotte, NY with his wife Elizabeth and attends Browncroft Community Church.

Kenneth Day, Jr. – Volunteer

Kenneth Day, Jr. retired from construction management with over 40 years of experience. Ken’s knowledge has been instrumental in assisting others in residential and commercial builds. Ken has also used his expertise to enlighten the next generation, by facilitating hands on instruction at area high schools. Ken and his wife Rosa have three children and four grandchildren. As one of the Elders at Church of Love Faith Center, Ken works closely with the men’s ministry inspiring men to lead their homes in excellence.  In his free time Ken enjoys playing golf.

Richard DiMarco – Volunteer

Richard DiMarco is Executive Vice President at Admar Supply Co., a family owned and operated construction equipment rental and sales business.  Richard has been a worksite leader for Flower City Work Camp for 5 years, a ministry of Flower City Outreach.  Richard and his wife of over 19 years have two teenage daughters.  Richard and Allison live in Penfield and worship at the Church of the Transfiguration of Pittsford where he serves on the Parish Council.

Rob Peterson – Volunteer

Rob Peterson owns and operates RL Peterson Corporation (Heating & Air Conditioning), which he started after retiring as a commissioned officer in the US Army.  His passions include supporting affordable housing and youth workforce development in the city’s underserved community.  Rob and his wife have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

David Scott – Volunteer

David Scott is a systems and software engineering manager at OLEDWorks.  He has always had the desire to use his hands and craftsmanship to grow God’s kingdom and help those in need.  Dave also leads a home bible study where he enjoys discussing and learning more about God’s Word with others.  He and his wife, Makaia, reside in Churchville, NY and attend Grace Road Church where Dave serves as a volunteer on the cleaning team.

Mike McOrmond – FCO Executive Director

Mike McOrmond founded Flower City Work Camp (FCWC) in 1985 and led it in the early years before moving on to other ministry opportunities.  He later rejoined the organization as a charter member of the Flower City Outreach Board of Directors when the organization incorporated in 2015.  He served as the Board Chairman for three years before stepping into the paid professional role of Executive Director in 2020.  Mike has been ministering for the past 40 plus years in the region in both pastoral and traditional marketplace roles.  He is married to his college sweetheart, Tammy, whom he met at Houghton College and they are blessed with seven children, one daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren.  All seven of their children have attended FCWC as campers.  Mike resides in Penfield, NY with his wife and worships at Grace Road Church.
